The concept reflected by this picture is preservation – By raising the station above the road, as well as making it mostly open to the elements, it mostly preserves the original urban environment of the area. The concept reflected by this picture is the idea of a stage – The roof structure imply an enclosed space in an area that is completely open. This shields people from the elements while not obstructing the view a higher elevation grants. The concept reflected is integration – The station integrates the three main passageways across the street; The cars on the original road below, The light rail on a higher platform that extends above the road, and the walkway which links the two sides of the road together with the light rail stop.
